NEWS END OF JANUARY 2010

Dear Friends,

As I write, I am preparing for a trip to Nairobi to pick up my parents on Monday 1st February. Please pray for us, and particularly for their health and safety, during their three week visit. I am very much looking forward to spending time and visiting hither and thither with them.

Our Rwandan intern-student has 1 week left to serve in Yala / Siaya. His time so far has been very good. He has done considerable informal research on the above schools and the state of the church in my home area as well as moving around encouraging students and teaching classes. This last week I have had him take the classes, giving me more time on the computer.

My home church had the election for a new bishop yesterday, which I gather was successful. Pray for Kenya as it is now under a lot of pressure from the West to review its constitution. If the reviewed document is passed, we are to have a referendum - which on previous experience could be violent.
