NEWS END OF FEBRUARY 2010

Dear Friends,

(In a prior news-shot, I reported that rats around my home were running around like crazy. I asked for suggestions as to what had caused this. The answer is: army ants!)

My parents' visit proved very successful. After time at home, at Kima, at a game park, and at a tropical rainforest - they left on 21st February, and arrived home safely in the UK on the evening of the same day.

A new couple has arrived at Kima and is due to take over the Dean's office. Other potential new missionaries from the USA are still raising funds.

It was strange, almost, how as my parents were around I was left on 'the edge' of the Luo community around us at home. I was promoted to 'visitor' status along with my parents. Now that they have left again, I am considered more 'normal'. I am engaging in the normal teaching routine up to the end of March now. All the usual challenges.

Best wishes,

Jim
