NEWS MID MARCH 2010

Dear Friends,

KIST Graduate Stephen Kutosi has been the source of news in Eastern Uganda, where a mud slide following heavy rain in Eastern Uganda swept through 3 villages devastating anything along its path. Our information at this point is that 5 Church of God congregational members have died including the pastor (one of the few Ugandan lady pastors), as well as many people in the community. But, due to the thick mud and debris, many are still not found. . (received 4th March 2010).

Many of your will know of the Millennium Villages Project. My home village is one of the ones targeted. I have begun engaging in the debate over this project that is being conducted over the internet. Please pray for wisdom in how to do this.

This Saturday we are to have the board meeting for Yala Theological Centre. Pray for good decisions, and for the other teachers to be enthusiastic. We now have a new Dean at KIST. Pray for him as he learns the ropes. Give thanks for some recent good visits to some churches and opportunities to preach. Pray that potential new recruits to Yala Theological Centre not be put off by the lack of 'signs of wealth' that they see when they come.
