NEWS END OF APRIL 2011

Dear Friends,

Having visitors for the last three weeks, and for the 10 days visitors were away having gone on a Church of God missionary retreat at the Kenyan coast, I feel more like a holiday maker come tourist of late than perhaps a missionary. Please give thanks for . . .

1. safe travels and protection.

2. opportunities to unwind.

3. opportunities to build deeper relationships with missionary colleagues and visitors.

4. ongoing opportunities for ministry.

My last visitors are to leave 4th May. Teaching in Yala and Siaya is to begin 9th May. In the meantime I am to be engaging in my writing sabbatical. 18th to 24th May I am to be a visiting scholar at Africa International University in Nairobi.

A recent board meeting of the Alliance for Vulnerable Mission decided that next year's vulnerable mission conference will be 8th and 9th March 2012 at Abilene Christian University in Texas. The UK conference will be 21st March at Cliff College in Derbyshire.
