NEWS FOR END OF AUGUST 2008

A comment that I just received from a reader:

All I can say is BRAVO on your paper, 'Material Provision' or Preaching the Gospel: Reconsidering 'Holistic' (Integral) Mission in the current issue of Evangelical Review of Theology. An excellent corrective and caution. Hopefully people will take to heart without much resistance the very valuable comments you make.

Pray for the impact of the pieces that I write as some are published and could be widely read.

Please pray for the people in SIM in Kenya, as they consider future ministry options with them. I have proposed that I assist in opening 'grassroots' Bible / theological schools in other parts of Kenya. Their decision making council is to meet in early October.

My time in Nairobi seems to have been successful. I have been able to make and re-make various contacts and friendships. It was good to make more progress on plans for conferences planned for next year.

Pray for the opening of a new term at Kima, Yala and Siaya teaching programmes in the next couple of weeks, especially for new classes and teachers.
