Extra news for middle of December 2003
Dear friends,
Greetings from a wet Kenya.
I am sending this quick extra news asking for prayer particularly as I
will be attending a big meeting of indigenous churches over the Christmas
period. This will be at the Nzoia river about 40 miles from home and I
hope to be there from the 23rd to the 26th. I expect to meet thousands
if not tens of thousands of people there. I gather we will all be camping
outside overnight.
This is led by the Legio Maria church, who nowadays consider their African
founder who died 10 years ago to be Jesus, and I gather many Roho (spiritual)
indigenous churches also attend. Pray for opportunities to witness.
Please continue to pray for Kenya at this time, running up to government
elections on 27th December. Things seem to be peaceful, although a politician
has just been murdered in my home village last night.
Best wishes
Jim
